About Kalshi
Kalshi is the first CFTC-regulated Designated Contract Market in the US dedicated to event contracts. Founded in 2018 by MIT graduates Tarek Mansour and Luana Lopes Lara, Kalshi allows trading on real-world outcomes including economics, politics, climate, sports, and financial markets. Event contracts settle at $0 or $1 based on whether the event occurs. In 2024, Kalshi became the first regulated platform in over a century to offer legal election trading in the United States.
