Asymmetric Encryption
A cryptographic method using a pair of mathematically related keys — a public key for encryption and a private key for decryption. It is fundamental to blockchain security and cryptocurrency wallets. Asymmetric encryption enables users to share their public key openly while keeping their private key secret, ensuring that only the intended recipient can decrypt the data or authorize a transaction.
Example
“Asymmetric encryption ensures that only the holder of the private key can sign and authorize transactions from the wallet.”
