Bull
In financial markets, a bull is a trader or investor who believes the price of an asset or the broader market will rise. Bulls hold bullish sentiment and typically take long positions or hold assets in anticipation of higher prices. The term derives from the way a bull attacks, thrusting its horns upward. Bulls are the counterpart to bears, who expect prices to decline. Market participants often describe themselves as bullish or bearish on specific assets based on their analysis.
