General TradingD
Dealer
A dealer in financial markets is an individual or firm that buys and sells securities or other financial instruments for their own account, acting as a principal rather than an agent. Dealers profit from the spread between bid and ask prices and provide liquidity to the market.
Example
“The forex dealer quoted a bid of 1.0850 and an ask of 1.0852 on EUR/USD, profiting from the 2-pip spread on each transaction.”
