Flag
A flag is a chart pattern that forms after a strong price move (the flagpole) followed by a rectangular consolidation that slopes against the prior trend. Flags are continuation patterns, meaning price typically breaks out in the direction of the original trend.
Example
“After a sharp 20% rally, BTC formed a bull flag with price consolidating in a slight downward channel for a week before breaking out to the upside and continuing the uptrend.”
