General TradingS
Short
A trading position that profits from a decline in price. To go short, a trader borrows an asset and sells it, aiming to repurchase it later at a lower price. In forex, shorting means selling the base currency against the quote currency.
Example
“The trader went short on EUR/USD at 1.1050, betting that the euro would weaken against the dollar, and closed the position at 1.0980 for a 70-pip profit.”
