Symmetrical Triangle
A chart pattern formed by two converging trendlines connecting a series of lower highs and higher lows. It indicates a period of consolidation and can break out in either direction, with the breakout typically continuing the prior trend.
Example
“The stock formed a symmetrical triangle over three weeks, and when it finally broke out above the upper trendline on heavy volume, it rallied 12% in just two sessions.”
