Treasury Bonds
Long-term U.S. government debt securities with maturities of 20 to 30 years that pay semi-annual interest. They are widely used as benchmarks for long-term interest rates.
Example
“A pension fund allocated 30% of its portfolio to 30-year Treasury bonds to match its long-term liabilities with predictable semi-annual coupon payments.”
