About Uzbek Commodity Exchange
The Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX), established in 1994 in Tashkent, is Uzbekistan's primary commodity exchange and one of Central Asia's largest. UZEX trades a wide range of products including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, crude oil derivatives and petroleum products, base oils, LPG, polyethylene, chemicals, sugar, cotton, and agricultural commodities. As a key institution in Uzbekistan's market economy transition, UZEX provides transparent price-discovery and exchange infrastructure for the country's resource-rich commodity sectors.
