Axie Infinity (AXS)
A blockchain-based play-to-earn game where players collect, breed, and battle digital creatures called Axies. AXS is its governance token, allowing holders to vote on game development decisions and earn staking rewards. Axie Infinity became one of the most prominent GameFi projects during 2021, at its peak generating significant income for players in developing countries through its scholarship model.
