Cayman Islands Dollar (KYD)
The Cayman Islands Dollar is the official currency of the Cayman Islands, abbreviated as KYD in forex markets. It is pegged to the US dollar at a fixed rate of approximately 1 KYD = 1.20 USD. Due to its dollar peg and the islands' role as a major offshore financial center, the KYD is rarely traded speculatively in global currency markets.
