Confirmation

Confirmation in trading refers to additional evidence or signals that support a trading decision or validate a price movement. In technical analysis, traders seek confirmation through multiple indicators, volume, or candlestick patterns before entering a trade. In blockchain, confirmation refers to the number of blocks added after a transaction's block, verifying its validity.

Example

The trader waited for a volume spike to confirm the breakout above resistance before entering a long position, avoiding a potential false breakout.
