OptionsO
Out of The Money
An option with no intrinsic value. A call is OTM when the underlying price is below the strike; a put is OTM when the underlying is above the strike.
Example
“The trader's $200 call option on Apple was out of the money with the stock trading at $185, meaning it had no intrinsic value and would expire worthless unless the stock rallied above $200.”
