Transaction Risk
The risk that exchange rate fluctuations will adversely affect the value of a transaction between the time it is initiated and when it is settled.
Example
“A U.S. importer faced transaction risk when the euro strengthened 3% between the date they ordered goods and the payment settlement date, increasing the dollar cost.”
