Algerian Dinar (DZD)
The official currency of Algeria, abbreviated DZD. It is subdivided into 100 centimes and is issued by the Bank of Algeria. The Dinar is closely tied to Algeria's oil and gas exports, making it sensitive to fluctuations in global energy prices.
