The official currency of Angola, abbreviated AOA. It is subdivided into 100 cêntimos and is issued by the National Bank of Angola. As a major oil-producing nation, Angola's currency is heavily influenced by global crude oil prices, making the Kwanza sensitive to shifts in energy markets.
