A Bitcoin maximalist is a person who believes that Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that matters and that all other digital assets (altcoins) are inferior, unnecessary, or even fraudulent. Maximalists advocate for Bitcoin's dominance and technological superiority, arguing that its decentralization, security, and fixed supply make it the only viable long-term cryptocurrency. This philosophical stance often leads to strong opposition against investing in or promoting alternative blockchain projects.
