Correction
A decline of 10% or more in the price of a security from its most recent peak. Corrections are considered healthy and normal within longer-term uptrends.
Example
“The S&P 500 entered correction territory after falling 12% from its all-time high, prompting value investors to start building positions at lower prices.”
