Cross-Chain
Cross-chain refers to the technology and protocols that enable the transfer of data, tokens, or assets between different blockchain networks. This interoperability allows users to move cryptocurrency from one blockchain to another without relying on a centralized exchange. Cross-chain bridges and atomic swaps are common mechanisms used to facilitate these transfers.
Example
“A DeFi user moves their ETH from the Ethereum network to the Polygon network using a cross-chain bridge, allowing them to take advantage of lower transaction fees while still utilizing their Ethereum-based assets.”
