Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA)
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) is one of the oldest and most widely recognized stock market indices in the world, tracking 30 large, publicly-owned blue-chip companies traded on the NYSE and NASDAQ. It is a price-weighted index and serves as a barometer of the overall US stock market and economy.
