Egyptian Pounds (EGP)
The Egyptian Pound is the official currency of Egypt, abbreviated as EGP in forex markets. It is subdivided into 100 piastres and is managed by the Central Bank of Egypt.

“After Egypt floated the EGP in 2016, the currency lost nearly half its value against the US dollar overnight, moving from around 8.8 EGP/USD to over 15 EGP/USD.”
