EPA
Excess Price Action — price movement beyond a logical level (like a support/resistance zone) that quickly reverses. Indicates a failed attempt to sustain beyond a key level, trapping traders on the wrong side.
Example
“Price spiked 20 pips above the weekly resistance level but immediately reversed back below it — a classic example of EPA that trapped breakout buyers who then had to close at a loss.”
