eurozone
The eurozone is the group of European Union member states that have adopted the euro as their official currency. It currently includes 20 countries and is governed by shared monetary policy set by the European Central Bank.

“When Croatia joined the eurozone in January 2023 as its 20th member, the kuna was retired and the country adopted the euro, expanding the single currency area further into southeastern Europe.”
