Fundamental AnalysisI
Inflation
The rate at which the general level of prices for goods and services rises, eroding purchasing power. Central banks use interest rates to manage inflation.
Example
“For example, when U.S. CPI data comes in at 6.5% year-over-year versus expectations of 6.2%, the dollar may strengthen as traders anticipate the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates more aggressively.”
