Intraday Position
A trading position that is opened and closed within the same trading day. Intraday traders avoid overnight risk by not holding positions past the market close.
Example
“For example, a day trader opens a long position in NVDA at $450 during the morning session and closes it at $458 by 3:30 PM, never holding the intraday position overnight.”
