Oscillator
A type of technical indicator that fluctuates between fixed upper and lower bounds, used to identify overbought and oversold conditions. Common oscillators include RSI, Stochastic, and MACD.

“The RSI oscillator reached 82 on the daily chart, putting the stock firmly in overbought territory and prompting the trader to look for short entries.”
