PCE Price Index

The Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index, the Federal Reserve's preferred measure of inflation. It tracks changes in the prices of goods and services purchased by consumers.

Example

When the Core PCE Price Index came in at 4.7% year-over-year, above the 4.5% forecast, the US Dollar rallied as traders priced in a more aggressive Fed rate hike.
