Put/Call Ratio
The ratio of put option volume to call option volume, used as a market sentiment indicator. A high ratio suggests bearish sentiment; a low ratio suggests bullish sentiment.
Example
“The put/call ratio on the CBOE spiked to 1.35 during the selloff, indicating extreme bearish sentiment that contrarian traders viewed as a potential buying opportunity.”
