Realised PnL
The actual profit or loss that has been locked in by closing a trade. Unlike unrealised PnL, which fluctuates with the market while a position remains open, realised PnL reflects the final financial outcome once a position is fully exited.
Example
“A trader bought 100 shares of NVDA at $400 and sold them at $450, resulting in a realised PnL of +$5,000 before commissions and fees.”
