Shill
Crypto slang for promoting bitcoin or an altcoin for your own benefit. A person who does the shilling can be called a shill (and other things, too!)
Example
“The influencer was accused of being a shill after he promoted a low-cap altcoin to his followers, then sold his own holdings at a profit once the price pumped.”
