Trading Volume
The total number of shares, contracts, or units of an asset traded during a given period. High volume often confirms price trends, while low volume may indicate weak conviction.
Example
“BTC's breakout above $65,000 was accompanied by 3x average trading volume, giving traders confidence that the move had strong participation behind it.”
