Transaction
The execution of a buy or sell order for a financial asset. A transaction involves the exchange of an asset between a buyer and a seller at an agreed-upon price, and is recorded by the exchange or blockchain on which it occurs.
Example
“The transaction to purchase 100 shares of AAPL at $175 was confirmed within seconds, with the broker deducting the total cost plus a small commission from the trader's account.”
