Wallet Address

A unique string of alphanumeric characters that serves as a destination for sending cryptocurrency on a blockchain network, analogous to a bank account number. Wallet addresses are derived from the user's public key through cryptographic hashing and can be safely shared with others to receive funds. Each blockchain network has its own address format, and sending cryptocurrency to an address on an incompatible network can result in permanent loss of funds.

Example

The sender copied the recipient's Ethereum wallet address starting with 0x and verified the first and last four characters before confirming the 10 ETH transfer.
