About Bitkey
Bitkey is a Bitcoin-only hardware wallet created by Block, Inc. (Jack Dorsey's company, formerly Square). It uses a unique 2-of-3 multisig design: one key on the hardware device, one on the Bitkey mobile app, and one held by Block as a recovery key. The device is a small NFC puck with no display — transaction approval happens via NFC tap with the phone app. Bitkey is fully open-source and focuses on simplifying Bitcoin self-custody.
