About Dow Jones Industrial Average

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) is one of the oldest and most recognised stock market indices in the world. It tracks 30 large, publicly owned blue-chip companies trading on the NYSE and NASDAQ. Despite its small constituent count, the Dow remains a cultural touchstone for the overall health of the US stock market.
