Gemini Dollar (GUSD) is a regulated stablecoin issued by Gemini Trust Company, founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss. GUSD is approved and regulated by the NYDFS and is backed 1:1 by US dollars held at State Street Bank and Trust Company. It was one of the first regulated stablecoins in the US and is integrated into the Gemini exchange ecosystem.
