JN BOJ Core CPI y/y

Track JN BOJ Core CPI y/y for insights into Japan's inflation trends and potential interest rate decisions.

Overview

Consumer prices are a key component of overall inflation, which significantly impacts currency valuation. Rising prices often prompt central banks to increase interest rates to meet their inflation control goals. While food and energy prices represent about 25% of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), their volatility can obscure the true trend. The Bank of Japan (BOJ) and traders usually focus more on core data. A revised version of this indicator is published approximately five days later, but is deemed less significant. This data has been available since November 2015.
