General TradingA
Address
A unique string of alphanumeric characters representing a destination on a blockchain where cryptocurrency can be sent and received, similar to a bank account number. Each blockchain has its own address format, and it is critical to verify the correct address before sending funds, as transactions on the blockchain are irreversible. Addresses are derived from public keys using cryptographic hashing.
Example
“Always double-check the wallet address before sending crypto, because blockchain transactions cannot be reversed.”
