Authentication
A security process that verifies your identity or login credentials before giving you access to resources, whether that be a blockchain, a cryptocurrency exchange, or a personal crypto wallet. Common authentication methods include passwords, two-factor authentication (2FA), biometric scans, and hardware security keys. Enabling strong authentication is one of the most important steps traders can take to protect their accounts from unauthorized access.
Example
“After enabling two-factor authentication on my exchange account, I felt much more confident that my crypto holdings were secure.”
