Bitcoin (BTC)

Bitcoin (BTC) is the world's first decentralized cryptocurrency, created in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto. It can be sent from user to user on the peer-to-peer Bitcoin network without the need for intermediaries such as banks or payment processors. Bitcoin uses blockchain technology and a proof-of-work consensus mechanism to process and verify transactions. It is the most widely recognized and traded digital asset, often referred to as digital gold due to its fixed supply of 21 million coins.
