Buying Pressure
The force created when there are more buyers than sellers in a market, driving prices upward. High buying pressure is indicated by increasing volume on up moves and aggressive market buy orders. Sustained buying pressure often leads to breakouts above key resistance levels and can signal the beginning of a new uptrend.
Example
“Intense buying pressure pushed the stock through its 200-day moving average on triple the average daily volume.”
