Cambodian Riel (KHR)
The Cambodian Riel is the official currency of Cambodia, abbreviated as KHR in forex markets. Despite being the official currency, the US dollar is widely used alongside the Riel in everyday transactions. The dual-currency system means the KHR is thinly traded in global forex markets and is primarily of interest to regional specialists and frontier market investors.
