Construction Spending
Construction Spending is a monthly US economic indicator published by the Census Bureau that measures the total value of construction work done, including residential, non-residential, and public projects. It is used by traders to gauge the health of the construction sector and broader economic activity.
Example
“Construction spending rose 1.2% month-over-month, beating expectations and lifting homebuilder stocks as traders anticipated continued strength in housing demand.”
