Day Trader

A day trader is a market participant who opens and closes all trading positions within the same trading day, never holding positions overnight. Day traders typically rely on technical analysis, short-term price patterns, and high-frequency strategies to profit from intraday price movements.

Example

The day trader bought 200 shares of Tesla at the opening bell and sold them two hours later for a $400 profit before the market closed.
