Good 'til cancelled order
A Good 'Til Cancelled (GTC) order is a buy or sell order that remains active until the trader either executes or cancels it. Unlike day orders, GTC orders do not expire at the end of the trading session and can persist for weeks or months.
Example
“A swing trader placed a GTC limit order to buy shares of Apple at $150, knowing the order would remain active for weeks until the stock pulled back to that price or the order was manually cancelled.”
