Message Digest
A fixed-length alphanumeric string produced by a cryptographic hash function from input data of any size. Used in blockchain technology to verify data integrity and secure transactions.
Example
“When a user sends a Bitcoin transaction, the blockchain creates a message digest (hash) of the transaction data to verify that it has not been altered or corrupted.”
