OI
Open Interest — the total number of outstanding futures or options contracts that have not been settled or closed. Rising OI with rising price is bullish; rising OI with falling price is bearish.
Example
“Bitcoin futures OI surged to $18 billion as price broke above $70,000, confirming that new money was entering the market to back the rally.”
