Outside Day
A candlestick pattern where the current day's high is above the previous day's high and the current day's low is below the previous day's low, completely engulfing the prior session's range. An outside day signals increased volatility and often precedes a significant directional move.
Example
“Bitcoin printed a bullish outside day, trading below Monday's low before reversing sharply to close above Monday's high, signaling strong buying pressure.”
