Parabolic
Describes a price chart pattern where an asset's price increases at an accelerating, exponential rate, forming a curve that steepens over time. Parabolic moves are typically unsustainable and often end in sharp corrections.
Example
“Bitcoin went parabolic in late 2017, surging from $10,000 to nearly $20,000 in just three weeks before crashing back below $7,000 in the months that followed.”
