Rectangle
A chart pattern formed when price consolidates between parallel horizontal support and resistance levels, creating a rectangular shape. It indicates a period of indecision and typically resolves with a breakout in the direction of the prior trend.
Example
“After a strong uptrend, AAPL formed a rectangle pattern between $170 and $180 for three weeks before breaking out above $180 on heavy volume, confirming the continuation.”
